Casting - Sand/Permanent Mold

Dee’s 71,000 square-foot foundry facility offers both sand and permanent mold casting processes. The sand casting process uses Olivine sand, which is molded around wood, plastic and or metal patterns using Hunter and Roto-Lift equipment. Metal is poured into mold cavities and then is allowed to cool before being separated from the sand.

In the permanent mold process, aluminum is poured into steel or iron molds containing cavities and allowed to cool. Molds are separated hydraulically and the castings are extracted.

Machining

Our 25,000 square-foot machining facility is located directly across the street from our foundry. CNC vertical, horizontal mills and CNC lathes are used to machine a large percentage of the castings produced at Dee. In addition, we use integrated machines that perform both turning and milling operations. Whether your application requires a special fixture for holding one or many parts, or you simply need a checking fixture or testing jig, our foundry and machining personnel will work together to design the most effective and competitively priced part to fit your need.
